Here are just a few examples of how your donations enable us to continue rescuing abandoned, abused, injured & neglected kittens. We always want to be in a financial position to save the next needy kitties that come our way and that's where you come in. We know you may not be able to foster or adopt but you can be a part of their rescue by donating!

It's life-saving & very much appreciated.

No salaries are paid in our rescue, it is operated solely by volunteers.

Blind Trio

Blind Trio

Awww- these babies came with terrible eye viruses that required their eyes to be removed surgically. They didn't know they were different- they played and hopped around like regular kittens- just a bit clumsy at times! They were adopted into loving homes!

Sorbet & Babies

Sorbet & Babies

Consider Mama Sorbet here. She was either beaten or hit by a car and had a broken pelvis in two places, a crushed skull & other injuries. She had 5 tiny babies to nurse & raise. We spent $1,547 for her surgery, plus the routine vet costs to get her & her babies vetted for adoption. Their total bill was over $2,200. Mama Sorbet's adoption fee was only $75. She is JUST ONE EXAMPLE of our many special needs intakes.

Edgar MIRACLE!

Edgar MIRACLE!

Edgar came to us FIV+ & so infested with worms, it pout him into liver failure. His foster dad Nathan Tube fed him every 3-4 hours around the clock for SIX weeks, along with a multitude of medications and fluids. By means of Nathan';s determined consistent effort, Edgar fully recovered- much to the delight & amazement of the veterinary team and all of us. Nathan of course adopted Edgar and he is king of the house!

Delano Rescue!

Delano Rescue!

This gorgeous mom & 5 babies came from an overwhelmed shelter. Mom has some severely cracked teeth from a head trauma, either being hit by a car or by an alleged human. She & her babies are currently residing at our medical fostering facility & we will have her & her babies up for adoption very soon! We are paying the bill for all of them to get fixed, vaccinated, microchip, dental, etc. Your donations enable us to continue rescuing moms & babies just like this sweet bunch.

Philly Adopted!

Philly Adopted!

When Philly's owner passed away, she was kept outside in a crate for almost 18 months. She was so traumatized that it took us months to get her emotionally rehabilitated but after much patience and love she started blossoming in to the most wonderful kitty! She know has a home with lots of other doggies & kitties to cuddle & play with!

Spinner & Tippy

Spinner & Tippy

This darling. colorfaul pair are young kitten sisters that have CH, the feline version of cerebral Palsy. They are a bit wobbly but as playful as can be & total love bugs! They were adopted together to a wonderful home!

Miracle Babies!

Miracle Babies!

Shaggy & Scrappy have truly been miracle babies. Thanks to the medical fostering facility we use, Kitten Central of Placer County- they have survived against all odds & even regained their sight. It was a lot of top notch medical care & an incredible amount of TLC. While we are so thrilled about this, the bill is pretty hefty! We never know when we will take in a litter how much it will cost us but we have to give them a chance!

Hoarder Rescue

Hoarder Rescue

This is was quite an undertaking! A hoarder situation was called to our attention so we jumped in & vetted & socialized 17 kittens. They all got adopted into loving homes, Dolphin here is representing them. The adults that were unable to be tamed were spayed, vaccinated & released back into a colony where they will be fed. The bill for this undertaking was HUGE. But no more kitties will be born from that situation!

Precious

Precious

This sweet bottle baby was sick & dehydrated when she was found in a car engine and suffered a severe dog bite to the base of her tail & her nose. She is a little fighter & a total sweetheart!

GET AROUND LITTER

GET AROUND LITTER

This sweet mama had EIGHT babies- all adorable as can be. As you can imagine, it was very taxing on mama who was only 5lbs herself. She was supplemented with fluids & nutritional concoctions to help keep up her milk supply & our medical fostering facility aslo supplemented the babies with milk. None of them would've survived without intervention. They all found great loving homes, including mama.

Weebles & Wobbles

Weebles & Wobbles

These darling babies were rescued at 48 hours old. Bottle babies require the most care & often incur the largest expenses because not only do standard veterinarian charges apply, their baby milk is super expensive! It costs approx $13.50 per week per baby alone just in kitten milk! We are happy to report they found a loving home TOGETHER!

Abracadabra Litter

Abracadabra Litter

This stunning litter of 5 was thrown into a garbage dumpster. Unfortunately, many of our kittens are found the same way. We are happy to report they thrived once given proper nutrition and care and are up for adoption!

Obviously vet bills are our biggest expense, but the day to day items add up as well such as dry food, wet food, baby food, kitten milk, litter, gasoline to vet & adoption events, cages, equipment..... you get the picture! Here's an example of just some of our expenses. Times that by several kittens in just one litter and it all adds up! Our adoption fees cover only a fraction of what it costs to raise them to healthy, adoptable status. Oftentimes because our kittens are rescued from sad circumstances they often require intensive vet care. Fortunately we have very low overhead so all your money goes straight to the kitties!
