HAPPY ADOPTIONS
Mission Meow is a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) cat rescue in Placer County focused on providing high-quality, compassionate cat and kitten adoptions.
As a cage-free, no-kill organization, we’re powered by a dedicated team of passionate volunteers—many of whom have been fostering and counseling adopters in the area since 2009. We recognized the need for a more personalized approach to rescue and adoption, and that’s exactly what we offer.
Our cats are lovingly fostered in our own private homes so we can really tell you the personality of each one. We also want to provide a very personalized adoption experience- without the noise & stress of being in a shelter environment. We encourage private meet & greet appointments so you can see a truer version of our kitten's personalities. We pride ourselves on personalized interaction with our adopters during all stages of the adoption process- from the initial inquiry to post-adoption follow up. We are experts at helping you find the best feline fit for your family.
HOW WE RESCUE
We pride ourselves on being a rescue without bureaucratic obstacles. We assist cats rejected by other shelters and rescues due to city/county restrictions, neonatal age, or special needs where they would otherwise face euthanasia. We prioritize underserved areas with limited animal rescue resources. We actively engage with these communities to provide TNR services, spay and neuter owned pets, and offer educational and practical assistance for unaltered cats and kittens.
Our organization has a well-established network of foster homes, volunteers, and procedures. However, our primary challenge is securing reliable funding, as grants can be unpredictable & government assistance is nonexistent. We rely mostly on the generosity of private citizens who want to help alleviate the suffering of unclaimed cats & kittens. If you would like to support our rescue program, please DONATE HERE.
