501(c)(3) nonprofit serving cats and their communities throughout
the greater Sacramento and Placer County region since 2017.
🐾 WHO WE ARE
Mission Meow was founded after witnessing critical gaps in the animal welfare system — where fragile, at-risk, and medically vulnerable cats were falling through with no safety net.
We exist to fill those gaps. We step in for those at highest risk of euthanasia—including neonates, seniors, those with chronic conditions, blindness, paralysis, or other conditions.
At the same time, we place healthy, adoptable cats into loving homes and lead proactive prevention initiatives that reduce suffering before it begins.

🐾 Privately Funded = No Bureaucratic Barriers
We are supported by private donations. This independence gives us the freedom to act quickly and compassionately—rescuing medically complex or urgent cases without the red tape or limitations that exceed the capacity of traditional shelters. We prioritize underserved communities with little to no animal rescue resources.
Through foster-based care, medical support, thoughtful adoptions, and targeted prevention efforts, we give cats the chance to heal, thrive, and move toward a better future. Your support makes that possible.

All of our cats and kittens are fostered in loving homes—not shelters or kennels. This allows us to get to know their unique personalities and needs, so we can help match them with the perfect family.

We believe every adoption should feel personal. That’s why you’ll communicate directly with the foster families who know the cats best. We encourage private meet-and-greet appointments in a relaxed environment to help you get a true sense of each cat’s temperament. We pride ourselves in being expert Meow Matchmakers to make the best fit for your household!
🐾 Thorough Medical Protocols
Your new companion’s health—and the safety of your existing pets—matters to us. All of our cats receive age-appropriate vet care, vaccinations, parasite control, and spay/neuter prior to adoption. Local veterinarians have been so impressed with our kittens they have adopted our kittens for themselves!
