Since 2017, Mission Meow Cat Rescue & Adoptions, Inc. has served the greater Sacramento and Placer County California regions as a foster-based, no kill 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue.
WHY WE EXIST
Mission Meow was founded after witnessing critical gaps in the animal welfare system — where fragile, at-risk, and medically vulnerable cats were falling through with no safety net.
Without our intervention, these cats would have nowhere to go, no chance for life. We step in for those at highest risk
of euthanasia—including neonates, seniors, those with chronic conditions, blindness, paralysis, or other conditions.

We are supported by private donations. This independence gives us the freedom to act quickly and compassionately—rescuing medically complex or urgent cases without the red tape or limitations that exceed the capacity of traditional shelters. We provide both immediate lifesaving care and long-term, prevention-focused solutions.
Beyond rescue, Mission Meow advocates for humane education, supports community cats through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), and provides outreach programs that help keep cats with the families who love them.
