Welcome to Mission Meow Cat Rescue & Adoptions, INC

Based in Placer County, California, Mission Meow is a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) cat rescue focused on providing high-quality, compassionate cat and kitten adoptions.

As a cage-free, no-kill organization, we’re powered by a dedicated team passionate volunteers—many of whom have been fostering and counseling adopters in the area since 2009. We recognized the need for a more personalized approach to rescue and adoption, and that’s exactly what we offer.

What We Stand For

🐾 Home-Based Fostering, Never Cages
All of our cats and kittens are fostered in loving homes—not shelters or kennels. This allows us to get to know their unique personalities and needs, so we can help match them with the perfect family.

🐾 Personalized Adoption Experience
We believe every adoption should feel personal. That’s why you’ll communicate directly with the foster families who know the cats best. We encourage private meet-and-greet appointments in a relaxed environment to help you get a true sense of each cat’s temperament.

🐾 Thorough Medical Protocols
Your new companion’s health—and the safety of your existing pets—matters to us. All of our cats receive age-appropriate vet care, vaccinations, parasite control, and spay/neuter prior to adoption.

🐾 Lifelong Support & Honest Guidance
From your first inquiry to post-adoption check-ins, we’re here for you. If we don’t have what you’re looking for, we’ll gladly refer you through our trusted network of local rescue partners. Start your search with us, and we’ll help you find your purr-fect match—even if it’s not in our current foster network.

We proudly take in cats that many shelters turn away—including seniors, those with chronic conditions, mobility challenges, or incontinence. These extraordinary cats often have the most love to give, and we go the extra mile to ensure they get the second chance they deserve.

Mission Meow is entirely supported by private donations. This independence gives us the freedom to act quickly and compassionately—rescuing medically complex or urgent cases without the red tape or limitations that often slow down larger organizations. Your support makes that possible.
